Introducing RinseQuote

July 16, 2026 · RinseQuote

RinseQuote is quoting software for pressure washing and exterior cleaning operators. It turns a measurement into a professional, signable quote in about four minutes, using your own rates and minimums.

Today we are introducing RinseQuote, a quoting tool built for one job: helping pressure washing and exterior cleaning operators turn a measurement into a professional, signable quote in about four minutes. Not a scheduler. Not a CRM. Not an all-in-one platform with a hundred features you will never open. Just the quoting step, done properly.

This post explains what RinseQuote does, the thinking behind it, and who it is for.

The problem we set out to solve

Most exterior cleaning operators are solo or two-person crews. Quoting, for them, usually looks like one of two things. Either they drive across town to eyeball a job and text back a flat number, or they guess a price from memory and hope it covers the work. Both approaches leak money. The windshield time eats the day, the flat number ignores square footage, and small jobs with no minimum quietly lose cash on every trip.

Meanwhile, the software built for this trade tends to be field-service suites designed for franchises: heavy, expensive, and overkill for a two-person operation. A solo operator does not need a dispatch board and a fleet tracker. They need to price a job correctly and get the yes.

RinseQuote is the tool that does that one thing well.

What RinseQuote does

At its core, RinseQuote prices exterior cleaning work the way a profitable operator actually thinks: per square foot, with minimums, with the modifiers that matter.

  • Your price book. Every surface rate, per-service minimum, and modifier is yours to set. Start from sensible defaults for house washing, roofs, driveways, decks, and more, then change anything to match how you price. It is your book, not a black box.
  • Square-foot math with quick-picks. Enter length by width or total square feet. Quick-pick chips for common sizes get you to a price in seconds, in the field, without a calculator.
  • The modifiers that matter. Two-story reach, steep roofs, and heavy organic buildup adjust the price in a fixed, predictable order, so your quotes stay consistent job to job.
  • Minimums, enforced. Set your minimum once and any job that comes in below it automatically shows a clean "minimum job charge" line. You never quote below your floor by accident again.
  • Before and after photos. Attach job photos right to the quote. A draggable before-and-after slider does the selling for you.
  • E-sign accept. Customers accept on their phone with a typed name. You get a record with their name, the time, and a hashed IP. No customer account, no app to download.
  • Follow-ups that run themselves. Automatic reminders nudge unopened and undecided quotes so you book more without dropping your price.

The result is a branded quote you can send by email with a PDF, that the customer opens and accepts from their phone, and that priced itself correctly while you stood in the driveway.

The thinking behind it

We wrote about the ideas that shaped RinseQuote in our first few posts, and they are worth restating because they are the whole philosophy of the product.

Price per square foot, not from your gut. Flat numbers ignore the actual work; square-foot rates scale with it. Our 2026 pricing guide lays out real rate ranges by surface.

Respect your minimum. Every job has a floor cost for the trip itself. When square-foot math comes in below it, you charge the minimum, or you lose money. We show you how to calculate one you can defend.

Quote the right service. House washing and roof soft washing are different jobs with different risk and price. Itemizing them, as we explain in our house wash versus roof soft wash guide, wins more work and prevents callbacks.

Follow up without discounting. Most lost quotes are lost to silence, not rejection. A simple, automatic follow-up rhythm recovers them at full price.

RinseQuote is those principles turned into software. Every feature exists to make the profitable way of quoting the easy way.

Who it is for

RinseQuote is built for US pressure washing and soft washing operators: the solo owner-operator, the two-person crew, and the growing side hustle that is turning into a real business. If you clean houses, roofs, driveways, decks, and flatwork, and you want to stop guessing prices and stop losing small jobs, this is for you.

It is deliberately not for everyone. If you need full field-service management with scheduling, routing, and inventory, RinseQuote is the wrong tool. We do the quoting step, and we do it well, and we are comfortable with that focus.

Honest about what we are

RinseQuote is built and maintained by a solo developer, as one app in the [Object]Quote series of focused quoting tools for the trades. That is the honest version, and it is a feature. A small, focused product moves fast, stays simple, and costs a fraction of the platforms built for franchises. Email support reaches a real person. When a rate or minimum does not fit how you price, the price book is meant to bend to your business.

What a quote actually looks like

It helps to walk the flow, because "quoting software" means very different things to different vendors.

You arrive at a house. In the builder you pick the customer (or add them in-line), then add surfaces: house wash 2,200 square feet, driveway 720 square feet, gutter brightening 160 linear feet. Each one prices instantly from your book. You tap the two-story modifier on the house. You snap a couple of before photos and attach them to the relevant line.

The review step shows the itemized total, plus an automatic minimum-job line if the number came in under your floor. You set validity at 30 days, add a note, and send. The customer gets a branded email with a PDF attached and a link to a mobile page where they can view the photos, read your terms, type their name, and accept.

The moment they do, you get an email, the quote is stamped accepted with a signature record, and it moves out of your pipeline. That is the entire product.

What we deliberately left out

A short list of things RinseQuote does not do, because knowing the boundaries saves everyone time:

  • No scheduling or dispatch. Your calendar already works.
  • No CRM pipeline stages. A quote is sent, viewed, accepted, or declined. That is enough.
  • No invoicing suite. Deposits are supported through Stripe when enabled; full invoicing is a job for your accounting tool.
  • No inventory tracking. You know what is on the truck.

Each of these is a real feature in some larger platform, and each one adds setup time, monthly cost, and screens you have to learn. A tool that does the quoting step well is more useful to a two-person crew than a platform that does twelve things adequately.
